SAVE OUR CASTLE
11 Aug 11 Hello Everyone Great Terrific You name it news. Go to http://www.defence.gov.au/id/anef_williamtown.htm and click on just under "Endorsed ANEF Map" THE MAJORITY of Raymond Terrace, Medowie, Salt Ash is now 20/25 zone (able to build with contitions) OR LESS (no encumbrances) There is still a few houses that are left in the 25/30 zone, mostly near the fire station at Lakeside and east of Richardson Road, but that is a drop from 30/35 and Council did state that people in the 25/30 zone will be looked at on a one to one basis. Save Our Castle would like to thank ALL the RAAF Personnel who worked side by side with all the groups to alleviate the restrictions on our lands. We would also like to thank the Council for at last coming to the fore and assisting its ratepayers. Also could Council please stop this insanity of charging Councillors who speak up for their ratepayers but are then charged for not disclosing that they are also in an affected area. This is madness and should not have happened. (you know what I am talking about). That is what we voted these people in so that they can be our voice. They should not then be punished for being affected themselves. Secondly, I would like to thank Senator Feeney. He was always willing to listen and act on what the people of Port Stephen were telling him. Lastly, I thank Bob Baldwin for being a thorn in the side of the Federal Government. Thanks Jacqui, Matt, Geoff and Senator Feeney and all others at the meeting. WE ARE NOW GOOD NEIGHBOURS WITH THE RAAF.
